SMMT Open Forum

In 2011, many vehicle manufacturers committed in excess of £4 billion to projects in the UK, from the development of low carbon technologies to the introduction of all-new models. This high level of investment comes with the added bonus of increased and safeguarded employment for thousands of UK workers, plus significant opportunities for UK based suppliers.

In this context of growth and investment, the next in the popular series of SMMT Open Forum events will take place on Wednesday 14 March at Northampton Saints Rugby Club, Northampton. The event will be themed on ‘growth and investment in the UK supply chain’ and this follows on from the 20 September event which had the ’suppliers view’ as its theme.

In the second session, we will host an OEM and global tier 1 supplier, each presenting their future growth and investment plans in the UK, and there will be additional speakers covering funding opportunities to promote growth and investment in the supply chain. The event will also include a networking lunch.
