New Year – New Deal – New Help with Funding for Manufacturers

The Manufacturing Advisory Service (MAS) goes national in 2012 with new help for Manufacturers which could generate £1.5bn growth and create 23,000 jobs. Funding is available for specific projects from £1000 to £10,000.

The new nationally operated Manufacturing Advisory Service (MAS) will focus on helping small and medium sized manufacturers to grow with a new service to be delivered by the Manufacturing Advisory Consortium (MAC).

Simon Griffiths, Area Director, MAC will outline how the new MAS is designed to support all manufacturers to retain and increase employment, improve productivity and deliver significant growth to the UK economy. Make sure that as a manufacturer you are best positioned to use the opportunities created from the emphasis to be placed on supply chains. Check out funding sources and make sure that your needs are known.

Proposed Schedule:-

4.00 – 4.30 Arrival, registration and coffee with light refreshments

4.30 – 4.45 Opening by Mike Dell, President Black Country Chamber of Commerce and business support representative of the local LEP

4.45 – 5.15 Simon Griffiths, Area Director, MAC on the future for manufacturing support

5.15 – 5.40 Case Study by Steve Preston, Managing Director of Kirkpatrick Ltd,  the oldest established manufacturer of black iron door and window furniture on their with recent experiences with MAS.

5.40 – 6.00 Opportunity to talk to representatives from MAS and other participants.
