Area Marketing Manager (Midlands & North)

 Outline role

The Area Marketing Specialist is responsible to market the Manufacturing Advisory Service across England to its core target manufacturing audience.

The future continuity and ultimate success of MAS depends upon being able to continually attract manufacturers across England to take advantage of the high quality support offered by both the internal team and the network of associated organisations. Brand recognition and recall is essential for this position.

 
Key responsibilities

 Assisting in the co-ordination of various integrated communication and marketing activities.

  • Production of a wide range of marketing communications.
  • Developing and maintaining collateral and other marketing related materials.
  • Executing the entire marketing mix including direct mail, telemarketing, events, customer communications, promotions and other marketing tactics.
  • Tracking campaigns, preparing performance analysis reports of post campaign and making recommendations.
  • Working closely with the external communication professionals and online co-ordinators.
  • Maintaining communication open lines with all organisations and providing prompt answers to requests in order to determine how to convey concise, clear, and timely selective information.
  • Documenting and tracking activities in line with national requirements.
  • Engaging with (new and existing) key partners Stakeholders with to ensure messages to the business support community are co-ordinated, joined-up and consistent.
  • Developing lead generation plans with targets, measures, and objectives and managing suppliers.
  • Working with advisors, consultants and customers to develop case studies, references and testimonials where required.
  • Executing and analysing results of marketing campaigns.
  • Managing events including the organisation of MAS hosted events and the co-ordination of joint events with other key organisations.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate capture of operational information and effective logging onto the national CRM system.

 

Person specification

 

  • Extensive marketing experience, experience of the public sector and a manufacturing audience is advantageous.
  • Confident team player prepared to be flexible to meet team requirements, including travel, hours and scope of work.
  • Marketing generalist with the ability to identify and embrace new opportunities.
  • Good standard of written and verbal English and be a good communicator.
  • Ability to manage own workload and meet deadlines.
  • Tolerance to handle regular and repetitive tasks.
  • Driving licence holder.
  • Good interpersonal skills, be highly organised and confident.
  • Good IT skills including MS Office package.
  • Marketing related qualification (degree or formal qualification).
